NJHS Meeting Thursday

Hillcrest's chapter of the National Junior Honor Society will be meeting before school on Thursday, September 15th at 7:15AM. We will be in the health room (gymnasium building). The meeting is for 8th graders who were accepted into NJHS last spring. All meeting dates will be posted on the NJHS Edmodo page (information will be given to students).

Teacher Breakfast

The current NJHS officers provided breakfast for the entire Hillcrest staff this morning, which included bagels, donuts, fruit, cereal, juice, and more. Thanks to everyone who helped out during Teacher Appreciation Week!

NJHS Induction Ceremony

Due to the large number of applicants this year, the acceptance and rejection letters will be handed to students on Monday, April 25th. The ceremony for newly accepted members will be in the gym on Thursday, April 21st at 6pm (not 6:30pm as previously announced).

Families are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Current NJHS members are required to attend.

2011-2012 NJHS Applications

Applications will be given to eligible 7th graders on Wednesday, April 6th. Please turn in applications as soon as possible!

March General Meeting

Thanks to everyone who volunteered at Hillcrest's Rummage Sale.

At our next meeting we will be discussing our upcoming book drive, service opportunities, and chapters 3-4 of our Success For Teens books.  See you 3-10-11! :D

Erinn Knak Mile

Hillcrest NJHS is supporting this annual event. Come out with the whole family!

 

The Erinn Knak Mile

Sat Febuary 5 9:00AM at O'Connor High School Track

You can walk,jog,run or race the 4 laps around the track.

We will start at 9 with the walkers and joggers. The faster racerswill go at the end.

The entry fee is $10. All the money raised goes to PCH Camp Rainbow and Streetlight two great organizations helping kids that are dealing with hard times.

 

Checks are payable to Valley Runners.

Meeting Dates Updated

The Hillcrest NJHS meeting dates have been updated (see sidebar). Please plan on attending each one. Also, grade checks will be printed this week to make sure all current members continue to be eligible.
